Accolades include: 2017 James Beard Foundation Award winner for Outstanding Chef, 2016 James Beard Award winner for Best International Cookbook and Book of the Year (Zahav), 2012 called by Food & Wine one of the country’s top “Empire Builders” for his devotion “to reinventing overlooked cuisines,” 2014 Eater National Chef of the Year, 2011 James Beard Foundation Award winner for Best Chef, Mid-Atlantic.
