God is a Verb: Exploring Kabbalah from a Reconstructionist Perspective

Hosted By: Congregation Am Haskalah

This session will explore key concepts from Rabbi David A. Cooper’s classic book “God is a Verb: Kabbalah and the Practice of Mystical Judaism,” which brought the obscure tradition of kabbalah to a mainstream audience. As 21st-century Reconstructionists, participants will examine mystical ideas that have intrigued kabbalists for nearly a millennium. Reading the book before the class is recommended, and there will be an opportunity to continue the conversation in the future.
