Create the Ultimate Vegan Shabbat Dinner

Hosted By: The Nosher

Join us to learn to cook a delicious vegan Shabbat dinner, with food writer and cooking instructor Sonya Sanford.

In this 90-minute interactive class, Sonya will share how to make vegan versions of the standard components of a Shabbat meal. You’ll learn to cook:

  • Challah: Turmeric and maple challah
  • Soup: A hearty white bean soup topped with spicy Yemenite zhug sauce
  • Entree: A flavorful sheet pan tofu with chickpeas and broccolini

This is a perfect opportunity to explore vegan Jewish cooking, whether you are vegan yourself, cook meals for a vegan, or just want to try incorporating more meatless meals into your diet. Cook along, ask your questions, and learn new strategies for putting plant-based twists on classic Shabbat cuisine.

When you register, you’ll receive instructions and a Zoom link so you can participate on January 18. You’ll also be added to our Nosher email list, if you’re not a subscriber already, so you don’t miss any upcoming Jewish food news or innovative Jewish recipes. You can unsubscribe at any time.
