Workers Circle Hosts Virtual Shavuot Cooking Workshop with The Wandering Chew

Hosted By: The Workers Circle

Have you heard of a Montreal Cheese Bagel? Join Workers Circle CEO Ann Toback and Kat Romanow, a Jewish food historian and co-founder of The Wandering Chew, a non-for-profit whose mission is to tell the diversity of Jewish stories through food, for a virtual cooking workshop — no plane tickets needed. During this workshop, Kat will teach you how to make this flaky, buttery, Jewish pastry from her hometown. We’ll also learn about the variety of culinary influences in Canadian Jewish cuisine and how eating this particular dish relates to the Shavuot traditions of eating stuffed foods with dairy.
