What Does the Quran Say About Jews and Judaism?

Hosted By: The Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning

The Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Education presents a course exploring the Quran’s multifaceted depiction of Jews and Judaism, offering Jewish learners a rare chance to engage with Islam’s foundational text. Led by Professor Miriam Goldstein of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the class will examine familiar biblical figures through a Quranic lens and explore themes of kinship, critique, and spiritual identity. Goldstein, a scholar of Judeo-Arabic literature trained at Harvard, Cambridge, and Hebrew University, will provide historical context and insight into how the Quran reflects and reimagines earlier scriptures.
