The Fritz Ascher Society for Persecuted, Ostracized and Banned Art presents a program on Austrian-born photographer Trude Fleischmann, one of the most accomplished female photographers of the 20th century. Carey Mack Weber, Director of the Fairfield University Art Museum, will discuss Fleischmann’s groundbreaking career in Vienna and her influential work in the United States after fleeing Europe in 1940. The program includes a conversation with Fleischmann’s cousin and greetings from the Austrian Cultural Forum NY.
