The Book of Legends: Retelling Our Stories

Hosted By: Temple Israel of Omaha

Stories are key to how we see ourselves as an individual and as a people. Jewish stories are scattered throughout Jewish texts. The Book of Legends, Sefer Ha-Aggadah, is a comprehensive compendium of classic Hebrew literature gathered from the Talmud and the Midrash. Some of the stories included are well-known, such as Abraham smashing his father’s idols. Others are gems waiting to be rediscovered.
