Mysticism & Poetry Book Talk: Readings from Embers of Pilgrimage

Hosted By: My Jewish Learning

Watch the recording of this talk here:

In this talk with My Jewish Learning, Professor Eitan Fishbane will explore the dynamic relationship between mysticism and poetry through his recently-released Embers of Pilgrimage: Poems (published by Panui Publications). We will combine the exploration of contemporary Jewish mystical poetry with discussion of a classic text from the Zohar (the masterpiece of Kabbalah, composed in medieval Spain), one that reveals the deeply poetic nature of Jewish mysticism in its most richly creative era.
