Hasidic Boy Dies

I just wanted to update everyone on the situation of Motl Brody, the 12 year old boy who was on life support in a Washington hospital, though he was declared brain dead by his doctors.

Earlier this week, Brody’s heart stopped beating and was officially declared dead by the hospital and his family. He was buried yesterday in Brooklyn.

While this story is obviously sad and tragic, at least we can take comfort in the fact that the boy’s life did not get dragged into a drawn out court case. If you remember, the hospital had sued the family claiming that they were wasting resources on the boy when they considered him to be dead.
