Jewish Chef Michael Solomonov Wins Coveted James Beard Award

Israeli food is truly here to stay.

Michael Solomonov has done it again, earning the coveted James Beard Award for Outstanding Chef.

Solomonov’s Philly-based restaurant Zahav and his Israeli-Jewish background served as¬†inspiration for his beautiful, award-winning cookbook Zahav. Last year his casual, Israel-style “hummuseria” Dizengoff opened an outpost in New York City.
