What Maureen Taught Us

Hosted By: London School of Jewish Studies (LSJS)

Maureen Kendler z”l was an inspiring Jewish educator, writer and broadcaster who believed passionately in the power of lifelong learning. She taught at LSJS for over a decade and was much loved by her students and colleagues.

In this special evening, four popular LSJS lecturers and colleagues will share some of Maureen’s teachings and what she meant to them.

The Kendler family will be represented and we will hear from them too. Two books of Maureen’s teachings will also be available to buy.

A donation from the evening’s proceeds will be made to the Maureen Kendler Education Trust. The trust provides bursaries to encourage Jewish women to undertake advanced Jewish studies, following Maureen’s example.
