Virtual Walking Tour: Revisiting Budapest

Hosted By: The Museum of Jewish Heritage-- A Living Memorial to the Holocaust

Through the eyes and camera of our guide Adam, explore off-the-beaten path parts of the Jewish quarter of Pest, one of the most interesting parts of Budapest’s city center. Learn the in-depth stories of the historical area including Stolpersteine, the former children’s republic of Gaudiopolis, and some micro-stories from everyday life of middle-class Jewish families. We will also have special access to the Ghetto Wall Memorial, where we will see the last remaining section of the WWII ghetto’s wall hiding in the courtyard of an abandoned residential building. Only licensed guides have access, and no groups are permitted in this hidden courtyard.

Join the Museum of Jewish Heritage and Our Travel Circle for a deeper look into the rick culture of the Hungarian Jewish community. This tour will build upon September’s Budapest tour, but it is not required to have attended the previous tour.

Registration is $18 for Museum members or $36 for the general public. If you’re not a member, join today. If
