Tour Krakow’s Galicia Jewish Museum
Hosted By: American Jewish University
The Galicia Jewish Museum commemorates the victims of the Holocaust and celebrates Polish Jewish culture. An innovative and unique institution located in Kazimierz, the Jewish district of Kraków, the Museum challenges the stereotypes and misconceptions typically associated with the Jewish past in Poland and educates both Poles and Jews about their own histories, while encouraging them to think about the future. Join museum director Jakub Nowakowski for a virtual tour of the exhibition Traces of Memory: A Contemporary Look at the Jewish Past in Poland. The exhibition features contemporary photographs of Jewish sites throughout Poland and tells the story of the diversity and richness that existed in Jewish Poland before WWII.
