Third Seyder: Resistance

Hosted By: Morris Winchevsky Centre

April 19, 2023 marks the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising — the largest act of resistance by Jews during World War II. Against unspeakable odds, and knowing they could not win, the people of the Warsaw Ghetto chose the path of resistance.

May 15, 2023 also marks the 75th anniversary of the Nakba or Palestinian Catastrophe and the ongoing persecution, displacement, and occupation of the Palestinian people.

Our Seyder this year (on April 16 2023 at 5:30 pm virtually) will recognize and celebrate these remarkable acts of resistance. Through music, poetry and text we will honor the courage of resistance and the significance of solidarity.
