The Rise of Antisemitism Since October 7th with Ira N. Forman and Sarah Breger

Hosted By: Moment Magazine

Eighty-five years after the Nazi pogrom known as Kristallnacht (Night of Broken Glass), antisemitism is on the rise both domestically and abroad in the wake of the October 7 attack (pogrom) of Israel by Hamas. The United States saw an almost 400% increase of antisemitic incidents during the first two weeks of the war. A mob in Dagestan, Russia hunted for Jews and Israelis at the airport and Molotov cocktails were thrown at a Jewish community building in Berlin, Germany, all motivated by hatred of Jews. Where is the line between antisemitism and anti-Zionism today? Has it changed since October 7th, and what can we do about it? Join Ira N. Forman, former U.S. State Department’s Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism and director of Moment’s Antisemitism Monitor and Moment Editor Sarah Breger, for this important conversation about the current state of antisemitism around the globe. This program is part of a Moment series on antisemitism supported by the Joyce and Irving Goldman Family Foundation.
