The Music and Teachings of Our Exodus

Hosted By: Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning

Passover is one of the most observed Jewish holidays around the world centered around one of the greatest stories ever told, the Exodus from Egypt. We retell this story using the Haggadah, which even translates to “The Telling”. So, what exactly is the story we are supposed to tell on the eve of Passover? How are we meant to go about telling it? How do the tunes and the songs that accompany the telling contribute to the story? And what are the many different ways the Haggadah helps us tell this foundational story? Join Rabbi Amy Wallk and Cantor David Lipp as they share some of their favorite teachings and music that you can bring into your own Passover seder this year!

National Redemption

The blessings that conclude the Amidah's center section emphasize God's redemption of Israel.
