Solomon on Trial: A Royal Courtroom Drama

Hosted By: London School of Jewish Studies (LSJS)

Was he Israel’s greatest king or a misguided monarch who foolishly misused his God-given wisdom?

Should King Solomon’s epitaph be that he honored God by building the first Temple in Jerusalem or that his wealth and many wives turned him to idolatry and mistreatment of his subjects? Once again, we have gathered great legal minds to debate this historic case.

With eloquence, insight and wit, our barristers will draw on arguments culled from traditional sources and contemporary cases. Peppered with some very special guests, this courtroom drama will deepen our understanding of one of our most memorable biblical kings.

This event is part of LSJS’s annual fundraising campaign.
