Judah Magnes (1877–1948) was a prominent rabbi and progressive Jewish leader in both the United States and Mandatory Palestine. He was a leading figure in the pacifist movement of the World War I period, and advocated for a binational Jewish-Arab state in Palestine. Am Haskalah will discuss Magnes’ biography and a selection of his speeches and publications.
