Lines of Resonance: Unveiling the Poetic Tapestry of Contemporary Israel with Dr. Rachel Korazim

Hosted By: Orange County Community Scholar Program (CSP)

In the aftermath of the October 7th tragedy that left Israel and the Jewish world in shock and despair, the Community Scholar Program hosts a session focused on contemporary poetry. This poetry, emerging from the calamity, captures a spectrum of emotions including pain, anger, despair, love, and hope, despite the pervasive sentiment of ‘מילים אין’ (ein milim—No Words). Participants will engage in reading and discussing these expressive and often raw poetic works that reflect the current state of emotional processing.
