Lift Your Eyes: Celebrating Israel in Memory of Nate Geller z”l

Hosted By: My Jewish Learning

Our 70 Faces Media colleague Nate Geller was a passionate supporter of Israel and a devoted Jewish learner. When he died in January 2022 after a courageous battle with leukemia, we knew there would be no better way to honor him than to provide a series of opportunities for Jews around the world to learn more about all facets of modern-day and historic Israel, from culture to food to politics to language to religion.

“Lift Your Eyes: Celebrating Israel in Memory of Nate Geller z”l” is a week of Israel-related programs, centered around Yom Haatzmaut, Israel’s Independence Day. From anywhere in the world, Jews will be able to join together online to hear from experts on subjects as diverse as Israel in the Talmud, Israel’s politics, Israeli dance, Hebrew language, and more.

This year’s programs include:

Interactive Israeli Dance Workshop, Monday, May 2, 2022, 1:00 pm, ET.

Israel in the Talmud with Rabbi Elliot Goldberg, Thursday, May 5, 9:30 am, ET.
