It’s A Shanda: Shame, Shamelessness, and the Joys of a Secret-Free Life

Hosted By: Kveller

Join us for a conversation with Letty Cottin Pogrebin and Deborah Kolben, 70 Faces Media’s Chief Content Officer and founding editor of Kveller.

A founding editor and writer for Ms. magazine, Letty Cottin Pogrebin is the author of twelve books, including her new candid memoir Shanda: A Memoir of Shame and Secrecy. This new memoir describes that duality: the fiercely guarded lies that wounded and the remarkable talent for reinvention that drove them forward.
Besides her nearly 20-year affiliation with Ms. magazine, Pogrebin has published articles and op-eds in dozens of national periodicals. She has been a regular columnist for Moment magazine since 1991, and for 10 years, wrote “The Working Woman” column in The Ladies Home Journal.

Kveller

Whether you grew up observing Shabbat every Friday night, or had your first taste of matzah ball soup when you married into a Jewish family, there’s no one way to parent Jewish kids. Kveller is here to give you ideas you can run with–ideas for first-time parents, interfaith parents, queer parents, adoptive parents, and everything in between–with the hopes that you can find information and inspiration that is right for your family.
