It Is Personal: Reviving the History of the Jewish Community of Mosul, Iraq

Qesher will host a talk with historian Omar Mohammed on the Jewish community of Mosul, Iraq, and the erasure of its history following the city’s liberation from ISIS. Mohammed will discuss the questions that drove his research, including who the Jews of Mosul were, how they lived, and what became of them. The presentation will cover his efforts to reconnect with Mosuli Jews worldwide to preserve and document their stories.
