How to Have Difficult Conversations

Hosted By: Hadar

What do you say to someone who has lost a family member? How do you share painful or unsettling news? Are you permitted to lie if the truth might be worse? In Hadar’s 3-part Winter Lecture Series with Dena Weiss, we will explore biblical and rabbinic texts that can help us better understand these scenarios where “saying the right thing” can feel challenging to the point of impossible. Through our learning together, we will arrive at a set of concrete guidelines and best practices for having painful conversations.
