Complicated Conversations of our Times
Hosted By: The Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning
Since March 2020, it seems as though our world has rapidly shifted from one traumatic event to another; we have lived through a pandemic, the explosion of racial and political tensions in the United States, tensions in the Middle East, and the continued conflict in Israel. Jews around the world are struggling to develop consistent stances on these intersecting issues sparked by seemingly unrelated events.
Take a step to overcome the polarization around us and the partisan nature of issues in the political discourse by exploring a number of relevant ethical teachings found in our tradition and discovering how we can productively discuss some of the most important and difficult conversations of the current moment.
Sign-up permitted after the first class.
