Charlie Chaplin and the Great War

Charlie Chaplin was singled out for his failure to sign up for service, receiving many envelopes containing white feathers at the brand-new Chaplin studios.

Lisa Stein Haven, Professor of English at Ohio University Zanesville, a regional campus of Ohio University, will explore the links between Charlie Chaplin and the First World War. She specializes in 20th century British and American literature, especially the modernist and post-war periods, and composition.

Please note this is a Zoom webinar. You will be able to ask Lisa questions and post your comments through the Q&A.

All those who book will be sent a link to join in an email from the library prior to the event
