Book Launch: Prophetic Voices: Renewing and Reimagining Haftarah

Hosted By: CCAR Press

Join CCAR Press to celebrate the release of the landmark volume “Prophetic Voices: Renewing and Reimagining Haftarah,” edited by Rabbi Barbara AB Symons. A diverse group of contributors offers contemporary commentaries on each haftarah, demonstrating their profound relevance to the present. Going beyond the Prophets, the book presents alternative readings ranging from the Talmud to Ruth Bader Ginsberg, along with new readings for holidays such as Juneteenth and Pride Month. “Prophetic Voices” boldly invites us to rethink the haftarah canon.
