A Tale of Two Cities: 4 Virtual Journeys Uncovering Prague and Berlin

Hosted By: The Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning

This summer, Melton Travel Seminars is heading back to Europe to visit two great capital cities once serving as major centers of Jewish life before succumbing to the madness that almost led to the demise of European Jewry. Over the course of four sessions, we will explore some of the unique elements of this heritage journey with you. Join us as we walk through Josefov, Prague’s historic Jewish Quarter, visit the Theresienstadt’s “camp-ghetto” and labor camp, and learn about its important propaganda function for the Germans. In Berlin, we’ll take a deep dive into the complex aspects of what took the city from capital of the 2nd Reich to its current status as an international center of multiculturalism. Don’t miss out on this moving journey through Central-European Jewish history.
