Hosted By: The Center for Jewish History

The Center offers specially designed in-person tours on Thursdays at 2 pm that allow the visitor to view the exhibitions of four of our distinguished partners, the American Jewish Historical Society, American Sephardi Federation, Leo Baeck Institute, and YIVO Institute for Jewish Research.

The tour lasts 1 to 1 ½ hours and includes a tour of the facilities and exhibitions, the Collection Management and Conservation Wing, the Lillian Goldman Reading Room, and the Ackman & Ziff Family Genealogy Institute. Tours are led by trained, experienced docents.

To schedule a tour of the Yeshiva University Museum galleries please call the Museum directly at 212.294.8330 or email ibenson@yum.cjh.org

To ensure compliance with local health and safety guidelines, proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (at least 14 days after your final vaccine dose) with matching ID will be required for all visitors 12 and older. Starting January 29, 2022, children ages 5 to 11 must also show proof of full vaccination.

You can provide proof of vaccination by displaying it on your smartphone, by presenting a physical copy, or by using the New York State Excelsior Pass or NYC COVID Safe App (Android | iOS). Other acceptable forms of COVID-19 vaccination proof are the CDC Vaccination Card or NYC Vaccination Record.

If you received the vaccine outside the U.S., you must have an official immunization record that includes:

  • First name and last name
  • Date of birth
  • Vaccine product name (only vaccines authorized by the WHO are acceptable)
  • Date(s) administered
  • Site where the vaccine was administered, or name of the person who administered it

Mask wearing is mandatory throughout the building.

The Center for Jewish History reserves the right to ask for a negative COVID-19 test from all visitors regardless of vaccination status.
