HerTorah: Shavuot 2022: “Through Their Eyes: 4 Perspectives on the Book of Ruth”

Hosted By: SVIVAH

Come together for a  HerTorah “Pre-Shavuot Sleepunder”!
Through Their Eyes: 4 Perspectives on the Book of Ruth
Wednesday 5/25 @ 8:15-9:45pm ET

SVIVAH are so excited to welcome Rabbi Dr. Erin Leib Smokler, Rebbetzin Aliza Bulow, Rozeeta Mavashev, and Rabbi Shuli Passow!

On Shavuot, we traditionally read the Book of Ruth. It tells a story about a woman who leaves everything to build a new life, and the society that helps her and takes responsibility for her even though she is a stranger.

Join SVIVAH as four incredible educators teach the story from their own unique perspectives, teaching us about our power to make change in an uncertain world.

HerTorah welcomes learners of all backgrounds and women* 12+. Questions? Email connect@svivah.org

SVIVAH

SVIVAH’s mission is to empower, strengthen, and nourish Jewish women* through community. SVIVAH is a multigenerational, diverse, powerful collective of Jewish women* dedicated to inspiring, motivating, and celebrating life in sisterhood. In Hebrew, svivah means “to surround her'' and that is precisely our goal. We connect women to each other, to cross-generational wisdom, to Jewish learning, and to the resources we need, in an inclusive, women*-only space. We do this by curating Jewish faith experiences with women at the center, by producing wide-ranging programming, and by amplifying and partnering with organizations in line with our values. (*SVIVAH defines “Jewish woman” as anyone wishing to be included in a circle of Jewish women.)
