From Pickles to Prada: 150 Years on the Lower East Side
Hosted By: Orange County Jewish Community Scholar Program ("CSP")
Orange County Community Scholar Program presents a four-part series tracing over 150 years of transformation in New York’s Lower East Side. Once a hub of pushcarts, pickled herring, and Yiddish theatre, the neighborhood has evolved into a center of boutique fashion, fusion cuisine, and cultural innovation. Through images, stories, and commentary, the series will explore entertainment, food, shopping, and social life, with each session focusing on a different facet of this historic district’s evolution.
