Rabba Dr. Melanie Landau

Rabba Dr. Melanie Landau received ordination from Yeshivat Maharat in June 2015. She currently lives in Jerusalem and works in conflict transformation as Fellowship Director for Encounter and is the founder of Yeshivat Kol Isha, a post-denominational feminist yeshiva. Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia she was also a lecturer in Jewish Studies at Monash University for 8 years. She is deeply committed to personal and social transformation and healing guided by the notion of all humanity being in the image of the divine. Her commitment to enter the darkness is complemented, strengthened, redeemed by and makes possible her embrace of joy and pleasure- and gratitude for life and love. She practices the art of the one-on-one and thrives with intimacy and shared vulnerability. As well as individual and group counseling and consulting, and social change work, she supports individuals and couples to access their capacity for passion and pleasure.
