Leana Jelen

Leana grew up in a Yiddish-speaking home in Chicago and now lives in Washington Heights. She holds a Master's degree in American Sign Language Interpretation from Gallaudet University where she researched and presented on Deaf Jews' signed translations of Hebrew prayer. Leana lives in Washington Heights and works in New York City as a freelance interpreter.
