Chuck Davidson is an ordained Orthodox rabbi and activist in Jewish conversion and other issues relating to religion and state in Israel and beyond. He is among the founders (http://www.jpost.com/Magazine/Rethinking-conversion-467242) of Giyur KeHalakha, a network of independent Orthodox conversion courts in Israel which operate independently of Israel's Chief Rabbinate.
