Ma Nishtanah: The Four Questions

An Audio Sample

The Four Questions, known in Hebrew as Ma Nishtanah, are recited toward the beginning of the Passover seder, usually by children. These liturgical stanzas set the tone for the evening, in which questions are encouraged and viewed as an integral part of the retelling of the Exodus story.
