Putting on a Tallit (Prayer Shawl)

Barukh atah Adonai Eloheinu melekh ha’olam
asher kid’shanu b’mitzvotav v’tzivanu l’hitateif ba’tzitzit.

Blessed are You, Lord our God, Ruler of the Universe,
who has sanctified us with commandments,
and commanded us to wrap ourselves in fringes.

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יהוה
אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶך-הָעולָם
אֲשֶׁר קִדְּשָנוּ בְּמִצְותָיו
וְצִוָּנו
  לְהִתְעַטֵּף בַּצִּיצִית

 Hearing Good News

Barukh atah Adonai Eloheinu melekh ha’olam hatov v’ha’meitiv.
Blessed are You, Lord our God, Ruler of the Universe, who is good and causes good.

הַטּוב וְהַמֵּטִיב.

Blessed are You, Lord our God, Ruler of the Universe, who is the true judge.

אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶך
הָעולָם
דַיַּן
הָאֱמֶת.

 Seeing a Rainbow

Barukh atah Adonai Eloheinu melekh zokher hab’rit v’ne’eman bivrito v’kayam b’ma’amaro.
Blessed are You, Lord our God, Ruler of the Universe, who remembers the covenant, and is faithful to God’s covenant, and keeps God’s promise.

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יהוה
אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶך
הָעולָם
זוכֵר הַבְּרִית וְנֶאֱמָן בִּבְרִיתו
וְקַיָּם בְּמַאֲמָרו.

Blessed are You, Lord our God, Ruler of the Universe, who has sanctified us with commandments, and commanded us to wash hands.

אֲשֶׁר קִדְּשָנוּ בְּמִצְותָיו
וְצִוָּנוּ עַל נְטִילַת-יָדָיִם.
