YIVO Institute for Jewish Research presents a discussion of “Displays of Belonging,” a book exploring how Jewish collectors and ethnographers in interwar Poland used museums and material culture to assert Jewish belonging in Polish society. Author Sarah Ellen Zarrow examines how Jews identified with Polish history and culture while navigating shifting national identities and exclusion. The conversation will be led by scholar Jeffrey Shandler.
