Pink Triangle Legacies: Holocaust History and the Fight for LGBTQ+ Rights
Hosted By: Haberman Institute
The Haberman Institute for Jewish Studies presents a talk on the pink triangle’s transformation from a Nazi concentration camp badge to a global symbol of LGBTQ+ pride and resistance. Historian Dr. Jake Desai-Newsome draws on archival sources and interviews to highlight the voices of Holocaust victims and those who later embraced the symbol. The session includes a Q&A and, for in-person attendees at the Capital Jewish Museum, a book signing.
