Creative Approaches to Women in the Bible

Hosted By: The Siegal Lifelong Learning Program at Case Western Reserve University

Siegal Lifelong Learning will explore the lives of Deborah, Abigail, and Bathsheba. They will read and discuss commentary and Midrash (stories about the stories in the Bible) about these fascinating women. They will also view and discuss paintings of Biblical scenes. Participants who enjoy creative writing are welcome to write their own Midrash on these Biblical women, and the last class will be reserved as a time to share and workshop these pieces. Participants are welcome to take this class even if they do not plan to write anything themselves.
