Behind the Music: The Heart of the Jewish Experience

Hosted By: The Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning

Music is an integral part of the Jewish experience. Through prayer or pop music, singing or dancing, music is at the heart of so many meaningful Jewish experiences. Join Melton teacher Cantor Matt Austerklein for a song-filled journey through the many cultures, styles, and eras of Jewish music. Throughout this exploration, Melton will grapple with deep questions of how music reflects our experience as a people and how it can help us define our own Jewish selves.
