As one of the founders of a pioneering Women’s Seder in 1976, she transformed the Jewish world to ensure women would always have a seat at the table. Letty will discuss her new memoir, Shanda: A Memoir of Shame and Secrecy, in which she reveals family secrets, roads not taken, private failings, and other incidents that induce shanda, the Yiddish word for shame.
