Judaica Roadshow: Your Jewish Library

Hosted By: The Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning

Join Joellyn Zollman, Ph.D for a curated conversation about our most treasured Jewish books. Dr. Zollman will use an Antiques Roadshow-style approach to explore how our own Jewish books and literature are resources for understanding American Jewish history, identity, and our own personal tastes. Registrants for this class will have an opportunity to share their own Jewish bookshelf or favorite Jewish book and have their own treasures explained by Dr. Zollman. Having worked with the Judaica collections at the Smithsonian, the Skirball Museum, and the American Jewish Historical Society, Dr. Zollman can’t wait to see what comes forth from your libraries. Together, participants will consider how these books connect to Jewish history, Jewish memory, and the creation of Jewish life in America.
