Rahm Says

No: Rahm Emanuel is not strictly observant — at least, not in the Joe Lieberman sense of the word. But he does go to one of our favorite synagogues in Chicago, he was in the Israeli Army (well, depending on your definition), and he produces more wacky news stories in years — “wackiness,” admittedly, being a relative term.

Because we’re not immune to viral web crazes, and in particular because we’re aflutter with RahmFacts.com, a website that’s devoted to doing for just-named Chief of Staff-elect Rahm Emanuel what a similar website did for Chuck Norris, with facts like “There is no ‘ctrl’ button on Chuck Norris’s computer. Chuck Norris is always in control” — except, in RahmFacts’s database, they’re all true.

“ISRAEL IS MY MIDDLE NAME” IS SOMETHING
RAHM EMANUEL
CAN ACTUALLY SAY

RAHM EMANUEL
REGULARLY CALLS HIS CHILDREN “MESHUGANAS”

RAHM EMANUEL
CAN DANCE BALLET BETTER THAN YOU

So, there you go. Let it not be said we’re overzealous or anything — just spreading the gossip about our favorite semi-Israeli Army-serving, West Wing-inspiring, crewcut-wearing Chief of Staff. (As if there was any other kind.)
