Ten Cheesecake Recipes Plus Some Other Excellent Ideas

I’m going to be at Camp Ramah for Shavuot which means I’ll probably be eating less than stellar food. This is a huge disappointment, considering that Shavuot is the best time to be a milchegatarian. There might be cheesecake, but I’m not getting my hopes up. Anyway, even though I won’t get any, I present you with ten amazing cheesecake recipes and two other cheesy treats. Think of me when you chow down.

If you want cheese, but feel like skipping the cake, try making a leek and cheese pie.

I’m seriously craving cheesecake now! The orange mini cheesecakes sound really good…I know what I’m doing tonight: Asking my mother to make them, of course.

Hey, thanks for letting me coerce you into it — and for making all us cheese-ivores in the audience feel guilty!

Seriously: These look great. And I think that people often miss the point of Shavuot being, not a dairy-intensive holiday, but a meat-free one, since it celebrates the time before G*d gave the Jews the Torah, and with it, the permission (or a concession) to eat meat.

Chocolate and Peanut Butter Swirl Not-Cheesecake sounds like the best. But my suspicions are, Sweet Potato Souffle will rock the house like nothing else….
