Why Learn Torah?

The London School of Jewish Studies hosts a pre-Shavuot lecture exploring what it means to learn Torah for its own sake. Drawing on Pirkei Avot and Talmudic sources, the session examines the tension between intention and outcome in Torah study. As Shavuot approaches, participants will consider the wisdom of the Sages and commentators to better understand the purpose and essence of learning.
