Understanding the Mental Health of the Jewish Community Through Research and Practice: Resilience in the Face of Trauma

Hosted By: My Jewish Learning, Kveller

With Dr. Tara Liberman, Founder and Director of the Jewish Community Mental Health Initiative and Dr. Aleksandra (Sasha) Soykin, moderated by Kveller editor Molly Tolsky.

Wednesday, May 14, 6:00 p.m. ET

This talk will be informed by what we have learned from hundreds of support groups facilitated with the Jewish community and our ongoing research. It will highlight the capacity of the Jewish community to engage in the process of healing and a shared sense of resilience. How do we channel our skills and access our strengths in times of trauma and crisis? How do we experience distress and grief while simultaneously creating meaning and regain a sense of self and community efficacy? We will think together about how we may impact change in a meaningful way in our own communities, families, and lives.
