The Stories Behind the Story: Records and Writings on the Creation of the State of Israel
Hosted By: Haberman Institute
Historians are now teaching an understanding of modern Israel based on the overlapping historical activities of State seeking, State building, and State keeping. Using these categories and historical primary sources, we will explore early Zionist writings, some of Israel’s foundational documents, and other thought pieces contained in Professor Gil Troy’s recent book The Zionist Ideas (Jewish Publication Society 2018).
This is an 8-part series, and participants are welcome to join at any time. The fee is the total for all 8 sessions.
