The Miraculous San Francisco Discovery of Ary Arkady Lochakov’s Lost Art

In May 2022, a remarkable discovery of 48 abandoned artworks, 38 signed by Jewish artist Ary Arkady Lochakov, was made by maintenance staff in a waterside park. Lochakov, a member of the École de Paris and featured in Hersh Fenster’s book “Our Martyred Artists,” died in 1941. This event is part of the online series “Flight or Fight.
