The Jews of Mexico City

Throughout our history, Jewish journeys have included many stops and detours in various countries and continents. In this class you will discover the Jewish journeys that brought people from around the Jewish world to settle in Mexico City. Besides examining the rich historical narratives, you will also discuss the makeup of the diverse and extraordinary Jewish community living there today. This exciting new offering is being taught by Melton’s Director of Educational Travel, Andrea Gardenhour, and Sara Aroeste, PhD, a gifted Jewish educator whose name in Mexico City is synonymous with educational excellence.
