Join the BZD and tour guide Evgenia Kempinski for a virtual tour of the Jews of Azerbaijan. This state borders Iran and has a Muslim majority. Azerbaijan is home to a considerable Jewish population numbering at least 20,000 Jews.
During the tour, you will visit the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, and get acquainted with Azerbaijani Ashkenazi Jews and the Jewish Village in Quba – a unique settlement where even today, only Jews live. The Jewish Village of Quba has a Mountain Jewish population that lives a traditional lifestyle.
