Marilyn Levitch Hassid is a retired Jewish Communal Professional who worked 10 years as a formal Jewish Educator and 35 years with the Evelyn Rubenstein JCC (J) where she produced visual, literary, film, and performing arts programs, and numerous special events often teaming-up with fellow colleagues, particularly pairing Jewish learning and arts and culture experiences. During her years with the J, she developed numerous program partnerships and collaborations with synagogues, Jewish Community organizations, and general community arts organizations generating greater visibility for Jewish/Israeli arts and culture in Houston. Marilyn has served on national planning projects with the Jewish Book Council (JBC), the Jewish Community Centers Association (JCCA), Jewish Creativity International, and the Foundation for Jewish Culture. Currently, she is a consultant with the Jewish Book Council onboarding and mentoring new staff and participating sites. Marilyn lives in Houston, TX.
